Siwa!!!!!!

We are back, and good as ever, with more than a few tales of our travels!

This was one craaaaaaazy adventure, filled blue wraiths, (ladies clothed head to toe in black, no eyeholes!)

Broken bikes, yucky hotels, and mermaid springs, and most of all, lots of rocks

This is a week-long trip to first,

1. Marustaruh

2. Siwa

3. Alexandria

At Marsuh Matruh we went to the beach.

Then we were off to Siwa!!!

the ancient city of Siwa! In the 1920s, this place was mostly destroyed by a 3-day long storm, so the people moved to more modern homes, and rebuilt this place with mud and salt. Literally!
Then to my favorite part! The springs!!! We first visited the most beautiful, amazing, incredible spring ever! Iyin ill arayas!

If you look closely, you can see a cave-like bottom with sharp rocky spires jutting up from the ground. This place remains me of an underwater cave! The next spring is Cleopatra's springs. legend has it she bathed there herself, and any woman who goes under comes back out more beautiful!
awesome! next is the famous salt lakes of siwa! we didn't get a lot of pics, but the place was INCREDIBLE! the water was blue, the salt was glittering, it was like heaven!
Then next! The bad bikes! we wanted to rent some bikes, and we rented some pretty bad ones, but ok.

We of course did more, but here is our trip, in a nut shell! cya soon!

  1. Wow, now I kinda wish I came. I had a fun time at home though.

  2. What a great trip! Love the pictures. If you could go again, what you would do differently? The same?

  3. It's good to have some commentary on the photos puts a little bit more into context than the mass dump on Facebook.
